Lauren Santucci is an award-winning nonfiction filmmaker in Austin, Texas.

Her short documentary, Teddy, screened at over 20 film festivals, where it was recognized with both a Special Jury Mention and Audience Award at the Atlanta Film Festival, and qualified for Oscar consideration following a theatrical run in New York City. It will be released on PBS Reel South in 2026.

As a cinematographer, the films she has worked on have screened at film festivals such as Sundance, SXSW, Telluride, and DOC NYC. Lauren has a background in visual journalism and currently works at Texas Monthly, where she produces the PBS docu-series, Texas Monthly Presents.

Lauren is in production on her second short film, Untitled Gun Buyback Documentary, which was selected for the 2025 Austin Film Society’s Short Film Grant and 2026 Documentary Intensive.
